Supervision

About me

As a neuroaffirming clinical supervisor based in Wirral, I provide counselling supervision for therapists, school counsellors and practitioners working with neurodivergent young people and adults.

As a neurodivergent supervisor, I understand how important it is to have a reflective space where you can show up exactly as you are, without masking, over-explaining, or feeling pressure to fit into a “typical” professional mould. In our supervision together, your ways of thinking, processing, sensing and relating are respected and valued. We work at a pace that feels manageable, building on your strengths and developing your confidence as a practitioner. My aim is to create a supervision space where you feel safe, seen and supported, so you can do your best work with authenticity while supporting your own wellbeing.

My approach to clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists is warm, collaborative and reflective. Supervision is a space where you can bring the full reality of your work, including the parts that feel complex, uncertain or emotionally demanding. In supervision we may explore:

• therapeutic relationships and relational dynamics
• ethical considerations and safeguarding
• nervous system awareness and regulation
• working with neurodivergent clients
• the emotional impact of the work on you as a practitioner

Alongside reflective discussion, I offer gentle challenge where helpful to support your growth and development.

I provide supervision for practitioners working with a range of client groups and settings, including:

• Children and young people in schools and community services
• Adult clients in private practice or agency settings
• Neurodivergent clients including autism, ADHD and AuDHD
• Trauma, attachment, anxiety and identity development
• Families and multi-agency teams

I also understand the wider pressures of therapeutic work, including:

• emotional load and burnout risk
• boundaries and ethical dilemmas
• paperwork and safeguarding responsibilities
• imposter feelings and professional confidence
• building or sustaining a private counselling practice

Supervision with me supports both your professional practice and personal wellbeing.
